Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Delhi Connection Depart: Delhi by Jet Airways Arrive: Kathmandu Meeting, assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel
Day 2
Morning half day city sightseeing tour and Swayambhunath. Visit residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, Machhender Bahl-holy place for the Buddhists and Hindus, Temple House of Kmari, the vestal virgin or the living goddess. Visit Swayambunath, a 2500-year old site where, it is believed, the Radiant Lotus of the valley-mythology, settled when the water was drained by Manjushri, the god of Wisdom. The 5 Dhyani Buddha's attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the stupa.Later visit Patan - This ancient city also known as Lalitpur is full Hindu Temple and Buddhist monuments. Here one visits the Patan Durbar Square situated in the heart of the city and the square if full of ancient places. Holding a commanding position in the palace complex of Patan the Krishna Mandir is the only temple in Nepal having 21 spires and is completely made of stone which was built in 17th century. Afternoon excursion to Bhadgaon, Bodhnath and Pashupatinath. Bhadgaon - another newer city founded in the 9th century. . Visit the ancient Gateway, Durbar Square the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupendra Malla, the famous five-storey temple of Nytapole in pagoda-style and other temples. Later, visit Bodhnath, the 2500-year old Buddhist Stupa, - a holy place for Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet. Also visit Pashupatinath where Shiva is worshipped in the form of lingam. (Only Hindus are allowed inside). In the month of February an annual pilgrimage on the occasion of Shivaratri is organized here every year. Overnight at hotel
Day 3
Morning drive to Pokhra, on arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel
Day 4
Morning sightseeing of Pokhra. Phewa Lake: Phewa Lake is the center of all attraction in Pokhara. It is the largest and most enchanting of three lakes that add to the resplendence of Pokhara. Here, one can sail or row a hired boat across the water of the lake or visit the island temple in the middle of the lake, the eastern shore, popularly known as Lakeside or Baidam, is the favorite haunt of all travelers’ restaurants, handicraft shops and other tourist facilities are located. Barahi Temple: The Barahi temple is the most important monument in Pokhara. Built almost in the Center of Fewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima, the protector deity representing the female force of Shakti. Mountain Views: Clearly, the most stunning of Pokhara’s sights is the spectacular panorama of the Anapurna range that forms its backdrop. Stretching from east to west, the Annapurna massif includes Annapurna I to IV and Annapurna South. Although the highest among them is Annapurna I at 8091 meters, it is Machhapuchhre, which dominates all others in this neighborhood. Standing tall, proud, and dominating the skyline, Machhapuchhre, the fishtailed pinnacle is the classic snow – capped, needle – pointed mountain. Overnight at hotel
Day 5
drive back to kathmandu @ transfer to hotel .rest day at leisure.free for shopping or one can visit the casinos trying their lady luck.
Day 6
Our services end this day with in time transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination
